About Me

My name is Jasmin (nickname Jasi or Jay), I was born on July 10^th 1988 and I live in Germany. I'm a nurse working in a hospital, currently at a gynaecology and maternity ward.

I loved reading ever since I was a child, so this blog naturally is about my books and reading in general. As a child I always went to a little library near my home, it was a library that belonged to the church and they were open only Saturdays and Sundays I think. So every weekend I went there and got a book, sometimes I even finished a book in time to return it the same day. For christmas one year I got a Harry Potter book and I loved it to death, so I followed J.K. Rowlings work ever since. It made my love for reading only bigger, and for years I've re-read Harry Potter every year.

I'm reading books both in German and English, so sometimes you'll see a review of a book that's only available in German, because I like some german authors too. When I'm reading a book in German that's available in English, I try to upload its english cover, so you'll recognize that book.

This blog is my second try in being a bookblogger, the first one was a blog in german language, but back then I didn't quite know how I wanted to have that blog. So I abandoned it, which didn't quite make me happy. For 2016 I wanted to make a new blog, this time on Blogspot and in english language. I don't think my english is too bad, but please don't mind if some mistakes sneak in.

Apart from reading I love tv-series, movies, music, cats and tattoos.

I watch too many tv-series to count.

My favourite music band is one from my own home area, their name is Fiddler's Green and their music is called Independent Irish Speedfolk.

I have three cats, two girls (mummy and child) and a former stray cat I adopted in 2016.

I have four tattoos, stars on my right ankle, a cat on my neck, the astronomic sign for Cancer on my left elbow and the name and paws of my cat Charlie, who isn't here anymore.
